"Artz to Go" Program
Covington Elementary School, Covington, IN

"Official Trail of Painted Ponies Artist"

I had the pleasure of being one of the Guest Speakers for the "Artz to Go" Program
sponsored by the Fountain County Arts Council, Covington, IN.
This was an enrichment program centered around the enhancement of the school's
already existing arts classes to all forms of art expression in an after-school class format.
I was proud to be shown with two of my students as I showed them
how to design for the Trail of Painted Ponies. Having won FIRST PLACE in the 2011 National Design Competition, it was an honor to bring the Award back to the school where my art career began.
Shown behind me is the Covington High School Gymnasium Wall Mural
which I was commissioned to design and illustrate in 1993.
This was a journey coming full circle from Elementary School to the Trojan Mural commission
to winning First Place in the "Horses in Art" Competition with "Navajo Sand Painter".
